Location: Stockport / Hybrid

Rate: £50-£60 per hour

Contract: 12 months

Working: Hybrid - Stockport and remote working

CRA Consulting are currently recruiting for an experienced Property Lawyer to join the Legal and Democratic Services team at a local authority based in Stockport on an initial 12-month locum contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-regarded and forward-thinking Property Team, supporting the Council on a varied range of high-profile projects alongside day-to-day estate management matters.

The Role:

  • Advising the Council on a broad range of property matters
  • Handling acquisitions and disposals
  • Asset management and estate management work
  • Advising on complex land transactions
  • Working closely with client departments, Members and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to the team's precedents and internal knowledge
  • Supporting wider legal work depending on experience

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' PQE
  • Strong hands-on real estate/property experience
  • Experience of acquisitions, disposals and asset management
  • Local Authority experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Commercial, pragmatic and able to manage a varied caseload
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
