Conveyancing Assistant / Paralegal

Salary: up to £28,000
CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with an established and growing law firm in Rotherham to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant / Paralegal to join its expanding Property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and established property department, assisting with a varied caseload of residential and commercial property matters.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to the firm's Property team, working closely with experienced fee earners and gaining exposure to a broad range of property transactions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with residential property sales and purchases
- Supporting on both freehold and leasehold transactions
- Assisting with commercial property matters
- Opening and setting up new files
- Preparing and reviewing property documentation
- Obtaining and reviewing property searches
- Assisting with enquiries and liaising with third parties
- Dealing with mortgage offers, redemptions and lender requirements
- Assisting with remortgages, transfers of equity and new build transactions
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors and other third parties
- Assisting fee earners through exchange and completion
- Undertaking post-completion administration
- Maintaining accurate case management records
- Providing regular updates to clients and assisting with general client queries
- Supporting the wider Property team with the smooth running of transactions
About You
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a residential conveyancing environment, either as a Conveyancing Assistant, Conveyancing Paralegal or in a similar property support role.
- You will be organised, proactive and have a strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage a busy workload and work effectively as part of a team.
- The role would suit someone who is keen to develop their conveyancing knowledge and progress their career within a growing property department.
- Experience of commercial property would be advantageous but is not essential, as training and development will be available for the right candidate.
