Umar Tawil at CRA Consulting is currently working with a Local Authority in Kirklees who are looking to appoint experienced Safeguarding Lawyers across both Children's and Adults' Legal Services.
If you are an experienced safeguarding lawyer looking for a permanent opportunity offering flexibility and a varied caseload, I'd be keen to speak with you.
The Role
You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation across a range of safeguarding matters, working closely with social workers, managers and other professionals.
Responsibilities may include:
- Advising on complex children's or adults' safeguarding matters.
- Providing clear and practical legal advice to social care teams.
- Supporting care proceedings and safeguarding-related legal processes.
- Preparing legal documentation and advising on appropriate courses of action.
- Representing the Local Authority at court and hearings where required.
- Managing a varied caseload and meeting deadlines.
- Working closely with social workers and senior managers on complex and sensitive cases.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and case law.
About You
I'm keen to hear from qualified lawyers with relevant Children's or Adults' Social Care/Safeguarding experience.
Ideally, you will have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer.
- Relevant safeguarding or social care legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of the relevant legal framework.
- Experience providing legal advice to professional clients.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
