Conveyancing Assistant
Location: Newark-on-Trent
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum
CRA Consulting is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Newark-on-Trent to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Conveyancing Assistant with at least 12 months' experience to join a busy and supportive residential property team. You'll work alongside experienced fee earners, gain exposure to a varied caseload, and continue developing your technical knowledge within a collaborative environment that genuinely values career progression.
The Role
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners throughout the entire residential conveyancing process, helping to ensure transactions progress efficiently while delivering an outstanding level of client service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day support to fee earners managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
- Assisting with matters from initial instruction through to exchange and completion.
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, contracts and correspondence.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties.
- Managing files, undertaking compliance checks and maintaining accurate case records.
- Monitoring key dates and proactively progressing transactions.
- Delivering exceptional client care and building strong professional relationships throughout the conveyancing process.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 12 months' experience within a residential conveyancing team.
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or in a similar support role.
- A solid understanding of the residential conveyancing process from instruction through to completion.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients and third parties.
- A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing your career.
