CRA Consulting is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Harrogate to recruit an experienced Senior Residential Conveyancer.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced conveyancer looking to take the next step in their career. Joining a friendly and collaborative team, you will play a key role in the continued growth of the residential conveyancing department, supervising a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant while working closely with the leadership team as you prepare to step into the position currently held by the retiring Head of Department.

The Role
You will manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, handling matters including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Transfers of equity
- Remortgages
- Shared ownership and shared equity matters
- Staircasing transactions
- Other residential property matters
Alongside your own caseload, you will:
- Supervise and mentor a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant
- Support the ongoing development of the conveyancing team
- Build and maintain relationships with local estate agents, mortgage brokers and introducers
- Assist with the continued growth and success of the department
- Work closely with senior management as part of a structured succession plan
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A minimum of five years' experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload
- The ability to independently handle approximately 60-100 live files
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of residential property transactions
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Experience using a case management system (such as Proclaim, Redbrick, Quill or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive approach and the confidence to supervise and develop junior staff
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
