Temporary Bookkeeper - 6-Month Project
Location: Chesterfield
Contract: Temporary, 6 months
Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday office based
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £35,000
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our professional services business in Chesterfield on a temporary basis for an initial six-month project.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who can quickly get up to speed, work independently, and provide accurate and efficient bookkeeping support throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial transactions
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgerss
- Resolving queries and discrepancies
- Providing general finance and administrative support as required
- Helping to ensure financial records are accurate, complete and up to date
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a bookkeeping or similar finance role
- Confident working independently and managing their own workload
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Reliable, professional and able to work to deadlines
- Experienced within a professional services environment would be advantageous
- Immediately available or available to start at short notice would be beneficial
