Job Description: We have a new vacancy for Electrical Assembly Engineers to be based at our site in Wortley, Leeds on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing, fitting and testing Original Equipment Manufacturer quality on machines.
  • Work on electrical wiring and associated assemblies to ensure safety, uniformity and compliance with required standards.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Assembly and testing of large equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Experience with complex schematic drawings and control panel assembly and connections.
  • Proactive in reporting any hazards that may cause harm to yourself or colleagues and ensuring the working area is kept to the company’s 6’s standards.
  • Conduct scheduled cleaning pit-stops efficiently and report any issues related to tooling, drawings, routings, or machine faults.

About you

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within Electrical Assembly and testing of Original Equipment Manufacturer machinery (OEM).
  • Must hold a minimum of a level 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in using Quality systems and procedures including electrical safe systems of work and testing procedures.
  • Prioritise workload whilst remaining calm under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving, mechanical and technical skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high quality of work, adaptability, make sound judgements and take initiative.
