We have a new opportunity for a Quality Control Engineer to be based at our site in Wortley, Leeds working on the double day shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Strong technical capability and a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Confident approach to evaluating quality issues.
- Deep knowledge of root-cause problem solving, process control techniques, and key production methods such as machining, fabrication, welding, or casting.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001 fundamentals, SPC, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Extensive experience within a complex design-to-order environment.
- Background in quality leadership that includes delivering high-impact initiatives and supporting cultural development.
- Competence in interpreting engineering drawings, diagnosing manufacturing faults, and producing clear written reports.
Qualifications
- HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Formal quality training such as CQI or IRCA certification considered an advantage.
- Articulate communicator with a logical and analytical mindset.
- Capable of influencing stakeholders and fostering a positive approach to quality across the organisation.
- Motivated and results-driven attitude, combined with a practical and engaging manner.
