Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Wortley, Leeds (travel to Shipley, Bradford and occasional supplier visits)
Responsibilities
- Facilitate business functions to ensure they meet company quality commitments and policies.
- Act with integrity and promote a customer‑centric Total Quality ethos.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and investigate manufacturing/assembly non‑conformances using 8D / 5 Whys.
- Lead non‑conformance review meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Apply ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, perform internal audits of the IMS, and proactively improve internal systems through enterprise change management.
Qualifications
- HND qualification, engineering degree, or equivalent experience in engineering roles.
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical / manufacturing engineering practices and production techniques such as machining, fabrication, welding, and casting.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing environment and in internal/external and supplier auditing.
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work under pressure while remaining agile to changing priorities.
- Lean Six‑Sigma Green Belt preferred.
