Job Description

We have a new vacancy for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join our Service team at CMbE CarnaudMetalbox Engineering (CMbE), a subsidiary of Crown Holdings, Inc.

About CMbE

CMbE designs, develops, and manufactures high‑performance metal forming and finishing machinery for the production of beverage, food, and aerosol cans.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Technical fault finding and support commissioning activities.
• Complete all associated documentation and keep customers informed.
• Identify opportunities for machine upgrades and improvements.
• Work independently or alongside colleagues as required.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in an engineering discipline; minimum NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Proficient reading of engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance, or field service engineering role.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel and stay away from home when needed.
