We are currently representing a leading workplace furniture and interiors specialist as they look to appoint a Project Lead to support the continued growth of their major projects division.
This is a senior, client-facing role responsible for managing and developing key client accounts while leading large-scale workplace furniture projects from initial brief through to final delivery. Working closely with the Sales Director β Major Projects, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, combining commercial oversight, design development and strong project leadership.
The Role
As Project Lead β Major Projects, you will take ownership of both account management and project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard, while supporting long-term account growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Sales Director β Major Projects to develop and execute key account growth strategies
- Leading pitches, presentations and tender submissions
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Managing client accounts independently, understanding business objectives and proposing tailored solutions
- Leading the briefing, design development and specification process
- Partnering with internal teams on end-to-end tender and project delivery
- Coordinating installations with internal project management support and third-party specialists (AV, IT, joinery)
- Liaising with suppliers throughout the ordering and installation process
- Producing pricing, quotations and clean orders in the correct formats
- Monitoring project budgets and providing regular internal updates
- Ensuring timely approvals to meet project programmes
- Managing samples, mock-ups, order acknowledgements and project documentation
- Producing and maintaining full project files and O&M manuals in standard formats
- Tracking and supporting client sustainability objectives
- Attending regular internal and external meetings and presenting updates as required
- Client entertainment, including occasional out-of-hours commitments
About You
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering major workplace furniture projects
- A strong understanding of complex furniture solutions and AV/IT integration
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects in pressurised environments
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A flexible, client-focused approach
