CR3 are currently working with a well-established UK manufacturer operating at the premium end of the office furniture and workplace solutions market, to appoint a Head of Sales / Sales Director. The business designs and manufactures high-quality workplace furniture solutions and operates through a national dealer network of office furniture dealers and fit-out companies, alongside OEM partnerships with other manufacturers. The company operates from a London showroom and a Northampton Head Office, which act as key hubs for client engagement, product showcasing and operational delivery.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales / Sales Director will take responsibility for leading national sales performance and dealer network activity across the UK. While this is a national role, the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with teams based out of the London showroom and the Northampton Head Office, spending approximately three days per week showroom-based to support dealer engagement, client meetings and product presentations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing the national main dealer network, primarily office furniture dealers and fit-out companies
- Maintaining and growing OEM relationships with other manufacturers
- Achieving agreed corporate sales budgets and gross profit targets
- Generating personal sales of approximately £2 million per annum
- Working closely with manufacturing teams based at the Northampton Head Office on major projects
- Collaborating with design teams to support product development and complex workplace solutions
- Supporting marketing activity, including campaigns and social media initiatives
- Working directly with dealer sales teams to drive specification and project wins
- Delivering presentations and product demonstrations at the London showroom and client locations
- Leading major bids, pitches and strategic sales opportunities
Requirements:
- Have proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within office furniture, workplace interiors or manufacturing
- Be confident managing dealer networks and external sales teams
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of working drawings and conceptual design information
- Be comfortable presenting at senior level, both one-to-one and in group settings
- Be highly collaborative, working effectively with manufacturing, design and marketing teams
- Combine strategic thinking with a hands-on, commercially driven sales approach
Benefits:
