Our client is a well-established main contractor with an annual turnover of approximately £150m. They have recently secured a national programme valued at around £50m, delivering a series of small to medium-scale distribution centre refurbishments for a global brand. Individual project values range between £3m and £6m. This particular scheme, based in Dublin, has been on site for 3 weeks and requires additional management support.
Project Overview
The project is a £4m refurbishment, including:
- Installation of sprinkles, fire alarms, fire doors etc
- Façade improvement works
This is a hands-on management role requiring strong leadership, excellent organisation, and the ability to drive progress while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations throughout the 14-week programme.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and on-site teams to ensure efficient delivery.
- Monitor progress against programme milestones and provide regular updates to the project team.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain quality control and address any issues arising during construction and fit-out.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment and fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, H&S legislation and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and drive the project to successful completion.
- Availability for the full 22-week freelance contract.
