Apprentice Administrator
to join our Plant & Transport team based in
Ripley, UK.
The Role:
The job holder is responsible for general administration duties and office procedures to fully support all company employees in an efficient and timely matter providing direct support to the office manager.
Apprenticeship β
As part of an apprenticeship programme, the apprentice will develop core business administration skills and gain an understanding of the plant and transport operations within the business. This will include learning how to manage documentation, coordinate activities, and provide high-quality administrative support across a range of functions.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out general administrative duties to support the Plant and Transport teams, including scanning, filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Assist with maintaining and updating records, logs, and databases for plant, vehicles, and equipment.
- Support the team with document control and ensure paperwork is accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Help process delivery notes, service sheets, and other operational documents.
- Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and wider department as required.
- Ensure all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
- Participate in training and development activities as part of the apprenticeship programme.
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
- Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in logistics, fleet management, or the construction industry.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach.
Requirements:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
- Must be eligible for an apprenticeship programme
- Responsible for arranging own transport to the work location
