CR Civil Engineering, part of the RSK Group, is a family‑run business based in the Midlands, operating throughout England and Wales. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit Apprentice Site Engineers.
The Role
As an Apprentice Site Engineer, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of engineering projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining practical skills and technical knowledge that will set the foundation for a successful career. You will work in a supported learning environment to develop all the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to become a successful Site Engineer and complete a BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and adhere to Health and Safety procedures.
- Assist Site Engineer with undertaking surveys and checking work is being built to design line and level.
- Assist Site Engineer with setting out, levelling, and surveying a construction site, installing site markers for trades to use to build the job.
- Work with site plans, drawings, technical designs and building information to ensure that they are followed correctly.
- Liaise with clients, sub‑contractors and other professional personnel, especially overall Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
- Provide technical advice and problem‑solving on site.
- Work in an office and on a construction site.
- Attend University on a day release every week.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 96 UCAS points from A-levels (or equivalent), including Mathematics and one STEM subject, or a Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship.
- GCSEs in Maths, English & Double Science (Grade 4/C or above).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel/Word.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Availability to travel & lodge out if required.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
