We are currently requesting resumes for the following position: Project Controls Engineer Officer

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating, facilitating and driving project planning processes
  • Provide business units support in developing, maintaining and updating project cost baselines and budgets in collaboration with project managers and finance teams.
  • Perform cost management for projects in accordance with our clients project management governance.
  • Facilitate and support project financial close out processes
  • Collaborate with project manager to address variances, adjusting project plans and budgets as needed to maintain financial control.
  • Set up applicable source systems (AS9, EcoSys, ePMX, P6 etc) as required as ensure alignment with project control systems
  • Maintain alignment between source systems and project control systems throughout project life cycle
  • Develop detailed schedules and/or provide schedule oversight activities to ensure full visibility on project timelines, establish baselines and perform monitoring control.
  • Integrate individual project schedules into the overall program schedule.
  • Facilitate project metrics reporting and variance analysis.
  • Identify actual and potential deviations from the approved annual release or life cycle-budgets or schedules to Project Manager.
  • Recommend corrective actions. Prepare and obtain approval of applicable change control documentation.
  • Maintain document project file which provides an auditable trail throughout the project lifecycle including project approvals, change control and close out.

Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of P6 and EcoSys is an asset. Understanding of earned value management including SPI, CPI
  • Knowledge and solid understanding of interrelationships and role of organizational units, interrelationships between work groups, stakeholders and the mechanics of resolving any controversial issues.
  • Project Management experience within a nuclear generating facility within a project management support capacity is considered an asset.
  • Extensive experience with cost management software and similar tools for budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
