We are an award-winning 4PL consultancy group based on the outskirts of Leicester offering dynamic Transport management solutions to our very high-profile clients. We have an excellent range of Systems and Solutions to enable companies to save money on their Transport spend. Being fortunate enough to own our in-house Design and Development IT systems team, we can take our concepts through from a thought process to reality seamlessly and efficiently.

We are looking for a Transport Carrier Manager to lead the Tender Management process for our current supply activity and new opportunities going forward in the UK and Europe.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Lead the solution design process to maximise outcomes in terms of savings, efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Provide analysis support where required within the carrier management team.
  • Ensure all carrier management procurement processes are adhered to by all members of the carrier management team.
  • Minimise commercial risk by ensuring contractual agreements are in place with key suppliers.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop the category management process for applicable areas of spend, including categorisation, data analysis, creation of strategy and realisation of savings and efficiencies year on year.
  • Implement a partnership approach with key suppliers.
  • Network within the business to identify opportunities where the tender program can deliver value and savings.
  • Create and manage a rolling tender program across all relevant customers, both UK and Europe.
  • Provide leadership and support to the solution design phase of all active tenders.
  • Provide analysis support to the carrier management team on activities that fall outside the tender program (i.e. benchmarking exercises).
  • Project manage a range of projects, both financially and operationally beneficial to 3T.
  • Ensure that all savings generated through the carrier management team are recorded, whether they are made through the tender program or generated through other projects.
  • Work with internal customers to understand their needs and to deliver with them optimum solutions for the business.
  • Ensure that where appropriate, contracts exist which provide suitable levels of risk mitigation and prevention.
  • Work with the carrier management and service delivery team to ensure that they can effectively monitor compliance to these agreements.
  • Promote corporate values of the company.

We are looking for a degree level educated person with a full driving licence (language skills French / German would be advantageous but not essential).
