We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex client-facing projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) domain or similar environments. This role requires a confident communicator who can manage cross-functional teams, coordinate with internal implementation consultants, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in the delivery of our solution, working closely with internal delivery teams, clients, and senior leadership to drive project execution and manage stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, working closely with implementation consultants to develop accurate effort estimates.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Gantt charts, schedules, and dependencies using appropriate project management tools.
- Track and report project status, risks, milestones, and deliverables to internal stakeholders and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage day-to-day project execution, including team assignments, task prioritisation, and coordination of activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Cube delivery teams, customers, implementation partners, and senior leadership.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks, delivery risks, resource constraints, and interdependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid project delays.
- Monitor and control project financials, including budget tracking, cost control, and preparation of financial forecasts.
- Manage scope changes, assess impact on timelines and costs, and prepare formal change orders as needed.
- Ensure projects adhere to agreed governance frameworks, delivery standards, and customer expectations.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of project management experience, and preferably in the ETRM space (or similar).
- Energy Trading Experience beneficial.
- Experience with a variety of Project Management methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid) and tools (MS project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and external clients.
- PMP certification or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
- Strong preference for candidates based in London, or willing to relocate.
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience delivering ETRM, energy trading, commodities, or financial services systems implementations.
- Hands-on experience managing projects across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience managing multi-workstream or multi-client projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated success managing project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and change management.
- Exposure to global or distributed delivery teams across time zones.
- Familiarity with regulatory-driven or data-intensive environments, where governance, controls, and accuracy are critical.
- Experience managing client-facing technology projects, including working with third-party implementation or consulting partners.
