CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading organisation to appoint a seasoned Red Hat OpenShift Virtualisation (VMWare) Specialist for an initial 6-month contract. Supporting the client through a key migration, the OpenShift Virtualisation Specialist will provide both hands-on technical expertise and over-arching technical consultancy throughout the project.
The Specialist should have experience in Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and be able to co-create a migration plan and high-level solution design tailored to the client's needs. Delivering documentation including a roadmap, technology landscape, and proposed migration approach is also an essential responsibility. This role is an initial 6-month contract and can be performed remotely.
Key Skills & Technologies Required:- Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders to assess current infrastructure and plan future virtualization goals
- Deep technical knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift (and associated technologies)
- Configure and automate OpenShift tasks
- Perform Virtualization Migration Assessments that include high-level design and project scoping
- Identify existing VM workloads and define storage, networking requirements
- Understand operational needs like automation, monitoring, disaster recovery, and compliance
- Co-create a migration plan and high-level solution design tailored to the client's needs
- Deliver documentation including roadmap, technology landscape, and proposed migration approach
