Travel Claims Handler
Cardiff – Hybrid
Salary: From £24,500 (depending on experience)
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Travel Claims Handler to join one of our clients’ growing insurance teams. In this role, you’ll take ownership of travel insurance claims from start to finish, ensuring customers receive a fair, timely, and supportive experience.

What You’ll Do
Managing Claims Caseload
- Proactively handle an allocation of travel insurance claims from notification through to closure.
- Assess indemnity, liability, and settlement in line with policy terms.
- Negotiate fair outcomes while maintaining excellent service standards.
Fraud & Risk Awareness
- Identify potential fraud indicators and refer as appropriate.
- Spot recovery opportunities to support business efficiency.
Supporting Operational Excellence
- Work closely with the Claims Team Leader to support day-to-day operations.
- Ensure service levels, compliance requirements, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Contribute ideas to enhance processes and improve customer experience.
Customer Service & Communication
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to customers throughout the claims process.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues, third parties, and suppliers.
