Our client, a leading specialist insurer, is looking for a Senior Test / Quality Engineer to join their London-based technology team. This is a hands-on role focused on driving software quality through a combination of test automation, exploratory testing, and continuous improvement within Agile product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement effective testing strategies across product deliveries
  • Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and automated test suites
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC
  • Manage defects, support root cause analysis, and drive resolution activities
  • Provide guidance and support to offshore QA resources where required
  • Champion best practice and continuous improvement within Quality Engineering

Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Senior Quality Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or similar QA role
  • Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, Playwright, Cypress, or similar
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum product teams
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and test management tools
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, or other regulated environments would be advantageous but is not essential
