Primarily Remote (Regional Offices plus B-weekly visit to London – fully expensed)

CPS Group are supporting a leading IT Consultancy in the recruitment of multiple Senior Software Engineers to join a growing team delivering secure, technically complex projects across the public sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java experience.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work as part of an Agile team, contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working across a range of open-source technologies and libraries
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab
  • Deploying applications across AWS
  • Contributing to architecture, technical design and solution development
  • Working across the full software lifecycle, from requirements through to delivery and ongoing support
  • Working collaboratively with customers and wider technical teams
  • Taking technical ownership and mentoring or leading others where appropriate

Key Skills:

  • Strong commercial experience with Java
  • Experience working with AWS and/or Azure
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices
  • Experience working within Agile environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
