This role is remote with the occasional travel to London every couple of weeks to visit the client site.A leading UK-based organisation is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to spearhead the design and delivery of complex, cloud-native platforms. This senior role is ideal for someone with at least 8 years\’ experience architecting large-scale distributed systems, particularly on AWS.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in designing secure, scalable infrastructures using AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Java-based microservices. You\’ll be responsible for shaping technical strategy, leading architecture design, and mentoring teams across cloud transformation projects.A strong understanding of cloud security best practices, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and event-driven design is essential.You\’ll play a key role in ensuring architectural standards meet business and compliance requirements, optimising performance, and managing cloud costs. Excellent leadership, communication, and hands-on technical skills are critical to success in this position.Preferred candidates will have: AWS certifications, experience with other cloud platforms (Azure or GCP), and a background in serverless technologies, compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and zero-trust security models.Additionally, if you have used DevOps tools and are DevOps focused, that would be a massive advantage.This role offers flexible working, funded training, 25+ days holiday, pension contributions, and the opportunity to shape cloud strategy within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
