CPS Group are working with a well-established organisation within the insurance sector that is looking to appoint a Financial Crime Officer. The role will be responsible for providing practical guidance on financial crime matters, supporting investigations, reviewing alerts, and ensuring the business remains compliant with relevant UK and international regulations. This is a varied advisory role where no two days are the same, offering exposure across sanctions, AML, fraud, anti-bribery, licensing and wider compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on financial crime matters across the business.
  • Review and investigate escalated financial crime referrals and screening alerts.
  • Support AML and KYC processes and respond to third-party due diligence requests.
  • Assist with investigations into financial crime incidents and regulatory reporting where required.
  • Contribute to financial crime policies, procedures and wider compliance frameworks.
  • Monitor regulatory developments across UK, EU, US and UN financial crime legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records, audit trails and documentation.
