CPS Group are working with a well-established technology consultancy delivering complex digital and infrastructure solutions into the UK Defence sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Solutions Architect to join their expanding team.
This is an opportunity to work on high-profile Defence programmes, helping to shape and deliver secure cloud, infrastructure and software solutions for MOD customers.
The Role
As a Solutions Architect, you will take ownership of solution design across a range of software, infrastructure and cloud-based projects. You will work closely with technical teams and Defence stakeholders, leading architecture decisions from initial requirements through to implementation and delivery.
You will be responsible for:
- Producing high and low-level solution designs
- Defining technical architectures for cloud, infrastructure and software solutions
- Gathering and translating business and technical requirements
- Creating technical Statements of Requirement (SoRs)
- Providing technical leadership across project delivery
- Advising customers on technology strategy and solution design
- Supporting deployments into secure public and private cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Building strong relationships with customer stakeholders
- Taking ownership of key technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with experienced Solution or Technical Architects who have a strong background delivering solutions within Defence or other secure government environments.
You will ideally have experience with:
- Designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud-native solutions
- Technical architecture across software, infrastructure and networking
- Digital transformation and IT modernisation programmes
- AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
- Producing high and low-level technical designs
- Leading technical engagement with senior stakeholders
- Taking ownership of architecture decisions and project delivery
- Mentoring technical teams or acting as the technical lead on complex programmes
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must currently hold active MOD Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
Location
We’re ideally looking for candidates based within commuting distance across South West as regular travel to site will be expected. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are highly desirable due to the location of the customer site.
