CPS Group are working with a well-established technology consultancy delivering complex digital and infrastructure solutions into the UK Defence sector. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines, including ETL pipelines, improving data quality, and supporting the delivery of analytics and operational solutions. You'll work across the full project lifecycle, collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to shape data strategies and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Key experience required:

  • Proven experience working as a Data Engineer within complex environments
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing ETL pipelines and data workflows
  • Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines using technologies such as Apache Airflow or Spark
  • Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, integration and governance principles
  • Experience working with Snowflake is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures, distributed systems and analytics solutions
  • Understanding of data security, standards, interoperability and governance

Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the work, applicants must currently hold active MOD Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

Location: We're ideally looking for candidates based within commuting distance across South West as regular travel to site will be expected. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are highly desirable due to the location of the customer site.
