CPS are a long established and highly respected Microsoft Partner. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Modern Work Consultant who is experienced in ensuring successful definition and delivery of solutions based on Microsoft 365. The role will work with our customers to design and implement quality solutions, taking the customer on a journey to leverage Microsoft 365 in meeting their needs and ensuring time, cost and quality expectations are successfully achieved.
The Modern Work Consultant will deliver within and lead client engagements, ensuring that the client’s business problems are fully understood and that the proposed solution delivers to and exceeds the client’s expectations. It is our mission to continue growing our Modern Work & Security Practice, providing support and guidance to ensure clients are delighted with our service. The Modern Work Consultant should provide expertise in enterprise solutions, but also have a keen eye to future strategic needs which may include a diversification of the workloads and tools used by the customer.
Requirements

- Broad knowledge of solution delivery patterns and practices, application lifecycle management approaches, with experience gained through all phases from design, development, test and release cycle to delivery and maintenance.
- Proven ability to design, build and demonstrate Microsoft 365 capabilities to prospective clients.
- Ability to contribute to sales activities such as writing compelling propositions, statements of work, and contributing to tenders.
- Proven ability to estimate at a high level, the effort required to deliver an engagement.
- Proven ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops and manage expectations with all levels of customer stakeholders including C-suite.
- Proven ability to document the findings of workshops in the form of current state assessments, solution designs, and strategy recommendations.
- Proven ability to write a solution design that can be handed over to a delivery team to implement.
- Ability to deliver professional, customer focused, and high performing solutions based on Microsoft 365 architecture.
- Ability to deliver content to customers that is of the highest quality and has been through the internal quality assurance checks before being published.
- Attending and participating in project boards to provide technical updates and implementation progress within the project.
- Promote and support CPS through community engagement around the latest developments in Microsoft 365 and related technologies, including promotion of knowledge through blogs, user groups, and marketing campaign materials.
- As part of our Microsoft competencies, we are required to have individuals who have passed specific exams. All colleagues should be passionately engaged with expanding their own knowledge and always seeking to pass Microsoft exams aligned to their areas of expertise.
- CPS have clients across the UK and travel is required at times, with occasional overseas assignments. Our focus is on working from home and creating a sustainable travel plan with clients.
Technical Attributes
- Experience in designing and developing business solutions based on Microsoft 365 technologies, including planning, deploying, and supporting production implementations.
- Ability to identify and map business and solution requirements to technical knowledge and Microsoft technologies.
- Ability to identify and map the business processes of an organisation.
- Ability to provide technical leadership to projects, and feed into technical leadership of larger programmes.
- Ability to recognise the need for escalation and the right moment to seek assistance to ensure timely and on budget delivery of projects.
- Experience of articulating technical change within established change management processes.
- Demonstrate an expert understanding in Microsoft 365 workloads, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Viva.
- Demonstrate an understanding and relevant capability in related Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint Framework, Purview, Power Platform (specifically Automate, Canvas Apps), and Planner.
- Experience of on-premises solutions built on SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and Subscription Edition (desirable).
- Experience of Google to Microsoft Migrations (desirable).
- Demonstrate an understanding of development patterns and best practices for working with Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Azure.
- Demonstrate an understanding of security considerations for Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the components used to implement identity access management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of device and application management.
