We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Atlassian Migrations Solutions Architect to lead the design, execution, and management of enterprise-level migrations for Jira and Confluence platforms. This role involves transitioning from on-premises to cloud or between cloud environments, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and adherence to best practices. The ideal candidate will possess Atlassian certifications, substantial experience in complex migrations, and project management expertise to ensure seamless execution and stakeholder alignment.
What you will do:
Solution Design and Planning:
- Assess current Jira/Confluence environments to define comprehensive migration strategies.
- Develop scalable, efficient solutions tailored to enterprise requirements.
- Identify risks and establish mitigation plans to ensure successful project outcomes.
Migration Execution:
- Oversee the end-to-end migration process, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Ensure minimal downtime, maintaining data integrity throughout the migration.
- Perform post-migration validation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Best Practices and Optimization:
- Implement industry best practices to streamline Jira/Confluence migrations.
- Optimize configurations, workflows, and user experiences for enhanced performance.
- Provide training and documentation to support a smooth transition and adoption by end users.
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with IT, development teams, business units, and external stakeholders.
- Support the integration of Jira/Confluence with other enterprise systems and tools.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements for Jira/Confluence environments post-migration.
Project Management:
- Plan and coordinate migration timelines, deliverables, and resources.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders, maintaining alignment and transparency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Expertise:
- 6+ years of experience in Jira/Confluence administration and migration.
- Proven success in migrating Jira/Confluence from on-premises to cloud or between cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of Jira and Confluence, including advanced configuration, customization, and administration.
- Proficiency with Atlassian Cloud and Data Center editions.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of database management and data migration tools.
Project Management and Collaboration:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including resource planning and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with additional Atlassian products, such as Bitbucket or Bamboo.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
Education and Skills:
