Transport Planner Contract: 18-Month Fixed Term Location: South London/Hybrid Salary: £45,021 – £48,060 A South London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the borough’s sustainable transport initiatives and play a key role in delivering innovative projects to enhance the local transport network. Key Responsibilities: Manage, deliver, and monitor an E-Bike and E-Scooter hire scheme across the borough. Oversee the installation and management of cycle parking, EV infrastructure, and car clubs. Support the delivery of the borough’s EV, walking, and cycling strategies. Review and provide feedback on planning applications, liaising and negotiating with relevant stakeholders. Duties Include: Conduct site surveys and assessments. Create designs, including CAD drawings. Carry out internal consultations. Consult Cabinet Members and Ward Councillors, preparing reports and decision sheets for approval. Liaise and consult with key stakeholders, including statutory bodies, TfL, and neighbouring boroughs. Requirements: Proven experience in project and programme management within traffic and transport services, preferably in a local authority setting.
