We are seeking an experienced Traffic/Highways Project Engineer for an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-profile Rail scheme. This role offers a chance to work as the end client, ensuring that consultancies and contractors deliver high-quality traffic and highway designs in accordance with the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assuring the delivery of Traffic Management, New Road Design, Traffic Flow Forecasts, and Planning.
  • Ensure contractors and consultancies meet contractual and design standards.
  • Solve problems effectively by working closely with contractors and consultants.
  • Conduct site visits and work from contractor compound offices as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in Traffic Management Design, Road Impact Assessments, and Highways Maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of S278 agreements and a solid understanding of Traffic Management Design.
  • Strong understanding of Local Authority Traffic/Highways.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
