A South London Local Authority is looking for an experienced Noise & Nuisance Enforcement Officer to investigate statutory nuisance complaints, respond to noise issues, and take enforcement action where required, helping to protect residents and improve community wellbeing.

Key Duties:

  • Investigate complaints under the Environmental Protection Act 1990
  • Manage construction noise in line with the Control of Pollution Act 1974
  • Carry out site visits, gather evidence, and support enforcement action
  • Provide advice to residents, businesses, and contractors

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in noise and nuisance enforcement
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team

Essential:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Access to a vehicle
