We are recruiting for a delivery partner appointed to Network Rail's Anglia Reactive & Small Schemes framework for CP7. This is a high-velocity delivery environment focused on reactive and small civil infrastructure works that keep the railway safe and operational.

As Small Works Project Manager (formerly termed Minor Works Manager), you will manage a portfolio of rapid response and low-complexity civil schemes from inception through to safe, assured completion. You will be at the centre of activity that includes urgent reactive call outs, small planned works and condition-led interventions on civil assets within the Anglia route.

Key accountabilities:
  • End-to-end management of reactive and small civil works (up to framework limits) across Anglia
  • Lead urgent response and emergency works delivery safely within operational constraints
  • Collaborate with route asset engineers, designers and delivery contractors to define scope and prioritise interventions
  • Coordinate surveys, temporary works, access planning, possessions/isolations and implementation
  • Drive commercial and programme control - cost, risk, change and reporting
  • Ensure works meet Network Rail standards and assurance requirements
  • Manage multiple schemes concurrently without compromising quality or safety
What we’re after:
  • Proven rail infrastructure experience as a Project Manager, Minor Works or Small Works lead
  • Track record delivering reactive, urgent and small planned civil engineering works on live railway assets
  • Comfortable with high throughput, varied scopes and shifting priorities
  • Solid understanding of working with possessions, isolations and operational interfaces
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills
  • Knowledge of rail governance, assurance and safety processes is essential
