Health & Safety Engineer

Health & Safety Engineer Location: Bristol Rate: £52.90 per hour (Umbrella) A local authority in Bristol is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Engineer to join their team on an interim basis. This is a vital role supporting construction and infrastructure projects, particularly within highways. You’ll work closely with site teams to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are consistently met. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive site inductions for all personnel. Carry out site supervision, including spot checks and health & safety audits. Prepare detailed risk assessments and method statements. Develop Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans in line with CDM regulations. Provide regular performance updates and reports to the Operations Manager. Knowledge & Experience Required: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team to deliver projects safely and efficiently. Confident in working independently to produce accurate documentation. NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) essential. Previous experience working on highways projects is highly desirable
