A West London local authority is seeking an experienced Garages Surveyor to support the effective management of its garage portfolio.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Council’s garage stock, ensuring assets are well maintained, efficiently let and effectively managed to maximise income and reduce voids.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage lettings, inspections, repairs, voids and general day-to-day operations of the garage portfolio.
- Carry out regular inspections to ensure garages are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance works, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
- Drive income generation through proactive asset management and marketing of vacant units.
- Monitor and improve void performance, ensuring garages are re-let quickly and effectively.
- Identify underperforming or surplus sites suitable for redevelopment or disposal.
- Work closely with contractors, residents and internal stakeholders to deliver a responsive customer-focused service.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Experience managing garage portfolios, commercial property, housing assets or similar estates services.
- Strong knowledge of inspections, repairs management and void control.
- Experience maximising rental income and improving asset performance.
