We are currently seeking an experienced Estate Surveyor to join a local authority. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the effective management and development of the Council’s property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake a broad range of estate and asset management duties across both housing and non-housing property assets.
- Manage landlord and tenant matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
- Carry out statutory asset valuations and support the Right to Buy process.
- Oversee and process various property transactions, including:
- Disposals
- Licence agreements
- Relaxation of restrictive covenants
- Wayleaves
Requirements:
- Proven experience in estate and asset management, ideally within a public sector or local authority context.
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation.
- Ability to carry out property valuations and manage transactional work.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
