We are working with a major client delivering Britain’s high-speed rail infrastructure programme, and we are recruiting a Senior Project Engineer to provide technical support and coordination on Track Design delivery. This is a senior technical role supporting the Lead Project Engineer in ensuring that track systems and layouts are designed, built and handed over to operations safely and on specification.

You will work at the heart of railway systems integration, managing the technical coordination between track design and other critical systems like signalling and power. You will combine deep design experience of track systems and layouts with the ability to work across complex interfaces. You will support the coordination of assurance activities, manage configuration and information flow, and translate complex design challenges into clear engineering solutions. Your work ensures track systems meet all regulatory, operational and integration requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the coordination of technical assurance of track design, systems and layouts during design, construction and commissioning against client requirements and standards.
  • Support the Lead Project Engineer in discharging NEC Supervisor and Principal Designer Representative duties under CDM 2015.
  • Coordinate the acceptance of track design, construction and commissioning to ensure compliance with specifications.
