A Local Authority in Cheshire is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join their communications team on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional with strong campaign, PR and stakeholder management experience to help deliver high-profile communications activity across a range of key council services and initiatives.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for planning, delivering and advising on complex and high-profile communications campaigns, ensuring effective engagement with residents, stakeholders and partners.
  • Key duties will include:
    • Planning and delivering strategic communications and PR campaigns
    • Managing multiple concurrent campaigns to agreed deadlines and budgets
    • Working with a wide range of internal clients and stakeholders to set measurable objectives
    • Evaluating campaign effectiveness and reporting on outcomes
    • Commissioning creative communications materials, publications and digital content
    • Managing reputational risks and responding to sensitive issues
    • Providing strategic communications advice to senior stakeholders
