An Interim Accountancy Technician is required to join the Place Finance team on a hybrid contract basis. This role will support services including Libraries and Housing, working closely with the Finance Business Partner on budget setting, in-year monitoring, and closure of accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and maintenance of capital and revenue budgets
- Provide finance support and advice to operational managers
- Assist with budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Support the annual closure of accounts process
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and financial procedures
Requirements:
- Experience providing finance support to managers is essential
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial procedures, and audit principles

- AAT qualification desirable
