CPXR is recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to join a growing Building Services contractor based in Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a background in high-rise residential and Design & Build projects looking to join a busy pre-construction team working on mechanical and plumbing packages valued between £5m and £30m. The role will involve preparing detailed estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, liaising with clients and suppliers, and supporting projects from tender stage through to handover.
THE ROLE
- Prepare detailed mechanical and plumbing estimates for residential projects
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Complete accurate take-offs and cost estimates
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process
- Collaborate with the electrical estimating team on joint bids
- Support labour forecasts, procurement schedules and pre-construction planning
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within Building Services
- High-rise residential and Design & Build experience is essential
- Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing installations
- Experience preparing take-offs, estimates and tender submissions
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Experience using Quickscale or Extreme Estimating would be advantageous but is not essential
