QUANTITY SURVEYOR – M&E / CONSTRUCTION Location: Sittingbourne, Kent Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 DOE + Career Progression THE OPPORTUNITY CPXR is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction business based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in M&E, building services and high-rise residential projects who is looking for a new challenge within a growing business. The role will involve the commercial management of M&E packages across high-rise construction projects, working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and the wider project team. The company offers career progression, a strong project pipeline and the opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects. THE ROLE • Manage the commercial delivery of M&E packages from procurement through to final account • Prepare and manage subcontractor packages, valuations and payments • Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and financial performance • Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations • Manage variations, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts • Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle • Work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients • Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts THE IDEAL CANDIDATE • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, M&E Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor • Strong background in M&E, building services or high-rise construction • Experience managing M&E subcontractor packages • Strong understanding of procurement, valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts • Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills • Strong communication and organisational skills • Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction-related qualification desirable Candidates from M&E subcontractor, main contractor or specialist building services backgrounds will also be considered.
