ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR – M&E Location: Sittingbourne, Kent Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE + Career Progression THE OPPORTUNITY CPXR is recruiting for an Assistant M&E Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction business based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in M&E quantity surveying, building services or high-rise residential projects who is looking to develop their commercial career within a supportive and growing business. The role will involve supporting the commercial management of M&E packages across high-rise residential projects, working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, project teams and senior quantity surveyors. THE ROLE • Assist with the commercial management of M&E packages from procurement through to final account • Support the preparation and management of subcontractor packages and orders • Assist with valuations, variations, payment applications and cost reporting • Work closely with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to monitor commercial performance • Assist with forecasting, cost control and maintaining accurate project records • Support senior Quantity Surveyors with the overall commercial management of high-rise projects THE IDEAL CANDIDATE • Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Junior Quantity Surveyor or M&E Quantity Surveyor • Background in M&E, building services, construction or high-rise residential projects • Experience working with M&E subcontractors and packages • Understanding of valuations, variations, procurement and cost control • Strong commercial, communication and organisational skills • Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction-related qualification desirable Candidates from M&E subcontractor, main contractor or building services backgrounds will also be considered.
