Senior Quantity Surveyor – Surbiton, South West London – Residential / Commercial – £75,000-£85,000 Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to play a key role in a small but well-established contractor? My client experience in a wide variety of work ranging from new build to the sympathetic restoration of listed buildings. They are managed by highly motivated people with proven ability who recognise that a successful outcome is best achieved through working as part of a team. What does the role involve? The client are based in Surbiton , however the projects they have on site are mainly in the South London / South England. The role will be based in the office with occasional site visits when required. You’ll oversee 1-2 live projects, managing all commercial and contractual responsibilities. Working along side and reporting to the Commercial Director, you’ll produce cost reports, valuations, reconciliations and forecasts, as well as administering subcontract valuations and payments – ensuring robust financial and project performance. Roles & Responsibilities: * Working on a mix of new build and refurbishment projects ranging from £1m-£10m * Managing cost control and commercial aspects from concept to completion To be successful in this role you will have: * Experienced Quantity Surveyor from the residential or commercial construction sector * Experience with JCT type contracts * Commutable to sites * Looking for autonomy, progression, and project ownership * Full UK Driving Licence Qualities and Behaviours * Strong commercial and business awareness. * Excellent communication skills. * Professional, flexible approach. * ‘Can Do’ attitude with solution led teamwork approach to getting work tasks completed diligently and on time. * High level of integrity and honesty. * Strength of character to enforce corporate policies respectfully.
