CPR Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Electrical Contracts Manager to join our client’s growing team based in Oldbury, covering projects across the West Midlands. Our client is a well-established Electrical Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects and ensure successful delivery.

The Role – Electrical Contracts Manager

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Liaising directly with clients and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Preparing, submitting, and managing tenders
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Producing accurate cost plans and project budgets
  • Calculating costs for materials, labour, and equipment hire
  • Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Managing subcontractors and site teams
  • Monitoring project progress to ensure delivery on time and within budget
  • Attending site meetings and progress reviews
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
  • Overseeing quality control and ensuring high standards of workmanship
  • Completing end-of-project documentation, including O&M manuals and handover packs

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant electrical qualifications (essential)
  • Strong electrical background with previous experience in a similar Contracts Manager role
  • Good knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical projects
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Full UK driving licence
