CPR Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Electrical Contracts Manager to join our client’s growing team based in Oldbury, covering projects across the West Midlands. Our client is a well-established Electrical Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects and ensure successful delivery.
The Role – Electrical Contracts Manager
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Liaising directly with clients and maintaining strong working relationships
- Preparing, submitting, and managing tenders
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Producing accurate cost plans and project budgets
- Calculating costs for materials, labour, and equipment hire
- Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Managing subcontractors and site teams
- Monitoring project progress to ensure delivery on time and within budget
- Attending site meetings and progress reviews
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
- Overseeing quality control and ensuring high standards of workmanship
- Completing end-of-project documentation, including O&M manuals and handover packs
Candidate Requirements:
- Relevant electrical qualifications (essential)
- Strong electrical background with previous experience in a similar Contracts Manager role
- Good knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Full UK driving licence
