THE OPPORTUNITY

CPXR is recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established general construction contractor based in Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator with a background in new build, refurbishment, or commercial construction who is looking to work on a varied portfolio of projects.

You'll play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, supporting business growth, and helping secure future work within a collaborative and expanding team.

THE ROLE

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce detailed pricing and cost plans.
  • Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative construction solutions.
  • Liaise with pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams throughout the tender process.
  • Maintain tender records and support negotiations through to contract award.
  • THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Previous experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator, Assistant Estimator, or Pre-Construction Estimator.
  • Background working for a main contractor on new build, refurbishment, fit-out, or general construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and procurement processes.
  • Experience preparing competitive tenders and detailed cost estimates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Conquest, Causeway, Cost X, or similar.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical and communication skills.

Candidates from main contracting, design & build, commercial construction, residential, education, healthcare, industrial, or mixed-use backgrounds will also be considered.
