Quantity Surveyor Location: North London/Essex & Canary Wharf, London Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE THE OPPORTUNITY CPXR is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established specialist construction subcontractor delivering specialist packages across commercial, data centre and public sector projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor with subcontractor experience who is looking to develop their career and take responsibility for multiple live projects. The role will involve managing projects and packages from a commercial perspective, including cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts. The company offers a competitive salary, hybrid working after probation and genuine opportunities for career progression. THE ROLE * Manage the commercial performance of multiple live projects and packages * Prepare valuations and applications for payment * Manage variations, change control and final accounts * Monitor project costs, budgets and profitability * Work closely with clients, project teams and internal stakeholders * Provide accurate commercial reporting across multiple projects THE IDEAL CANDIDATE * Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor * Previous experience working for a construction subcontractor * Experience managing multiple projects or packages simultaneously * Strong commercial and cost management skills * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * A practical, proactive and hands-on approach Experience working on packages valued up to £5m–£6m would be beneficial, although candidates with experience on larger subcontract packages will also be considered.
