We are recruiting for two Contracts Managers for one of our clients; a commercial contractor based in Kent, specialising in a wide range of construction projects. Their portfolio includes large-scale Design & Build reinforced concrete (RC) frameworks, as well as smaller healthcare framework works. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, driven by a culture of safety, innovation, and collaboration.

The Role: They are seeking 2 experienced and motivated Contracts Managers to join our team:

  • Contracts Manager – Large D&B RC Framework Projects
    You will be responsible for managing complex contracts related to large-scale Design & Build reinforced concrete projects. Your expertise will ensure successful delivery through effective contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Contracts Manager – Small Works & Healthcare Framework
    This role focuses on managing smaller contracts within the healthcare framework sector. You will oversee contract execution, cost control, and compliance with healthcare standards to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all contract stages from tender to completion
  • Negotiate and administer contracts in line with company and client requirements
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
  • Resolve contractual disputes and claims efficiently
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of Design & Build contracts, particularly RC frameworks
  • Experience working within healthcare construction frameworks is a plus
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) preferred
