Design & Engineering
CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms, and battery storage systems that drive Australia’s renewable energy transition. Our engineers work closely with construction and operations teams, ensuring designs are practical, constructible, and continually refined through real-world feedback.
The Opportunity
Join an industry leader and work on innovative high voltage infrastructure projects including substations, grid connections, wind, and battery storage systems. Supporting the design and construction of our projects, you will deliver high-quality results to meet standards and project deadlines. As a Senior Design Drafter, you will provide sound technical and engineering design input and assistance to Project Managers and Engineers and assist in resolving technical project queries.
Skills And Experiences About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation
- 5 years or more experience as a Senior Designer Drafter - specialising in High Voltage Primary Systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with client engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and implementing design information provided by Primary Design, Civil Design, and Project Engineers
