We’re hiring a Client Representative – Array Cable Installation to join a major offshore wind project, supporting critical cable installation activities offshore. In this role, you’ll act as the on-board client authority across Cable Lay Vessels and Installation Support Vessels, overseeing array cable loadout, lay, and pull-in operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safety, quality, and procedural compliance while maintaining full visibility of installation progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the client’s offshore representative, ensuring contractor adherence to approved RAMS and QHSE standards
- Preparing and issuing Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), ensuring accuracy and sign-off from all parties
- Monitoring installation activities, witnessing key operations, and validating contractor reporting
- Leading by example on safety, participating in toolbox talks, safety walks, and incident reporting
- Intervening where necessary to stop unsafe or non-compliant operations
We’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore power cable installation (loadout, lay, pull-in at OCS/WTG)
- Strong background as a Client Rep within offshore wind or subsea cable projects
- Valid certifications: GWO (all modules), HUET/BOSIET with EBS, STCW 2010, OEUK Medical
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
- Confident communicator with strong reporting and stakeholder management skills
Highly desirable:
- 10+ years’ offshore experience in similar roles
- Familiarity with DPR and incident reporting systems
- Additional certifications such as LOLER, CDM, or marine/rigging awareness
