CPM has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join us on behalf of a well‑known family‑run company that has been making tea and coffee for over 100 years. You will work within the hospitality industry, encouraging stock of their fantastic products through fostering trusted relationships with wholesale partners and direct engagement with venues.
Salary: £32,000 per annum + 15 % bonus (STC). Full time, Monday – Friday. Territory Wakefield, United Kingdom, WF1. Territory covering: Bradford, Carlisle, Durham, Darlington, Halifax, Lancaster, Leeds, Newcastle, Wakefield, York and surrounding areas.
What will you be doing?
- Working with food and drink wholesalers to build trust and advocacy for the range of teas and coffees, creating new opportunities to sustainably grow distribution and ensure more end‑consumers can enjoy these brands.
- You will also visit hospitality premises, independent and franchised hotels, to actively encourage them to stock the exceptional range of premium tea and coffee products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the face of Taylor’s of Harrogate within wholesaler depots, building trusting relationships that lead to advocacy for our products and sales opportunities.
- Attend networking events to promote the brand.
- Visit wholesalers regularly to keep our products ‘front of mind’ when they discuss tea and coffee with their customers.
- Seek out and contact hospitality sector leads by phone, email and face‑to‑face visits.
- Build solid relationships with end‑users in the hospitality sector through ongoing contact.
- Hold a full driver’s licence that permits driving in the UK and use your own vehicle.
Requirements:
- Full UK driver’s licence.
- Prior experience in journey planning or sales within the hospitality sector is desirable.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
