Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Technical Architect to play a pivotal role in defining and delivering the technology strategy that underpins our products, platforms and future innovation.
Ideal Location: Stokenchurch, United Kingdom, HP14.
The Role
This is a highly influential role, combining technical leadership, architectural design and people development.
You'll work across a diverse technology landscape, partnering with internal stakeholders, customers, development teams and external partners to create scalable, secure and future‑ready solutions that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and maintaining technical architecture, roadmaps and solution designs aligned to business strategy.
- Translating business requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable technical solutions.
- Providing technical leadership and architectural governance across development teams and projects.
- Leading architectural reviews, identifying risks and recommending improvements.
- Championing modern engineering practices, cloud‑native development, Dev Sec Ops and AI‑assisted development tools.
- Working with development partners to scale technical delivery capability in line with business demand.
- Evaluating and recommending emerging technologies, tools and frameworks.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, customers and suppliers to deliver effective solutions.
- Mentoring and supporting developers, helping build capability and adherence to technical standards.
- Creating proof of concepts and driving innovation to enhance existing products and develop new capabilities.
About You
You’ll be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and a passion for solving complex business challenges through technology.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solutions Architect or similar senior technical leadership role.
- Strong software engineering background with experience across multiple technology stacks.
- Experience with technologies such as . NET, Salesforce, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), APIs, microservices and modern web/mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of cloud‑native architecture and legacy system modernisation.
- Experience working within Agile, Dev Ops and CI/CD environments.
- Solid knowledge of security, infrastructure and application architecture principles.
- Experience promoting secure‑by‑design development and Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Desirable
- Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Relevant certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar.
- Experience leading distributed teams and third‑party development partners.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
